Boris Yeltsin (1931-2007)

Elected first president of the Russian Federation in June 1991. With the heads of Belarus and Ukraine, announced the dissolution of the Soviet Union and the establishment of the Commonwealth of Independent States in December of that year, becoming the leader of the new Russia.
