(6 August 1998, The Chugoku Shimbun) An exhibition called "A trip to Montreal" began from August 5 at Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum located in the City's Naka Ward. The propose of holding this exhibition is to introduce the history and culture of Montreal, Canada, Hiroshima's sister city since May this year. The last day of the exhibition is September 30. Highlights of this exhibition, sponsored by Hiroshima and Montreal, are 60 picture panels which show the four seasons of the Japanese garden in the City's botanical garden, a bronze bell of the chapel and a palanquin which native Americans used when they carried their infants on their back. There are 10 objects exhibited. Since Hiroshima City invited the Chairperson of the Montreal City Council to the Peace Memorial Ceremony, the idea of holding such an exhibition finally came true. Hiroshima Peace Memorial Ceremony is held on August 6 every year at the Peace Memorial Park located in the City's Naka-Ward.
